Bath’s Central Library is welcoming people to come and experience the latest improvements that have been carried out by Bath & North East Somerset Council.
As Waitrose continues development work on The Podium, Bath Library remains open on the top floor and has so much to offer.
Over the past week it has had a revamp to make it an even better place to read, pick up CDs, DVDs and Blu-Ray discs, meet friends or just browse the many reference books available.
The revamp has taken on board customer comments and the library has now introduced more seating and tables in the reading area, including new bean bags to relax on.
Councillor David Dixon (Lib-Dem, Oldfield), Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, said: “Bath & North East Somerset Council has carried out this revamp in response to comments from our customers and we hope they will be pleased with what they see, encouraging new and old members back into the library. We have added more seating, more tables and moved the fiction to the front of the library, with new signage to make the visitor experience free and easy.
“For those who need extra help we have a map of the new library layout available from the library desk or to print out from our website. We are keen to let people know that Bath Central Library remains open for business and we’re planning many exciting things in the coming months as we encourage more families and children to come in and have a look at what’s on offer at the library.”
Bath Central Library is open every day of the week at the following times:
- Monday: 09.30 – 18:00
- Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 09.30 – 19:00
- Friday & Saturday: 09.30 – 17:00
- Sunday: 13:00 – 16:00.
