A group of Clydesdale bank employees have signed up for a Christmas night out with a difference – all in support of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

The group of six, from Clydesdale Bank’s Bath branch, will be getting into the festive spirit by donning Santa suits and taking part in the CHSW ‘Santas on the Run’ event.

The 2k run, which takes place in Bath on the evening of Thursday 1 December, sets off from Southgate Shopping Centre and will take participants through the city’s scenic streets.  To make the event a truly festive experience, runners will be able to visit the famous Christmas Market by Bath Abbey before starting the event.

Brian Tooker, Senior Partner – Clydesdale Bank Bath said:

“We couldn’t resist the opportunity to run through the streets dressed as Santa.  The team are really looking forward to kicking off the festive season with a bang as well as being able to support such an amazing local charity.”

Sophie Crossman, events fundraiser for Children’s Hospice South West who is organising the Bath fun run said:

“If your office is looking for a Christmas night out with a difference our ‘Santas on the Run’ event is the perfect way to have an evening of festive fun whilst raising vital funds for the families we support across the South West.  Taking part in the run means you will be able to burn off a few calories before indulging in the usual festive feast.”

Festive Fun Runs are taking place in Bath (1st Dec), Bristol (4th Dec) and Wells (11th Dec).

Entry is just £10.00 per adult and just £5 for children and your Santa suit is included!

It couldn’t be easier to take part; simply register online at www.chsw.org.uk/santas or call 01275 866 600.  All runners must register in advance as it will not be possible to register on the day.
