The Council have released the details of the Christmas waste collections this year and they affect a smaller number this year then they have previously.

Only residents who usually have their waste collected by Bath & North East Somerset Council on a Monday or Tuesday will be affected by the Christmas and New Year Holiday collection changes this year. Everyone else will have collection on their usual day.  You are asked to remember:

  • There are no collections on Monday 26 December 2011;
  • The next collection for refuse and recycling will be Monday 2 January and for garden waste Monday 9 January 2012;
  • There are no collections on Tuesday 27 December 2011;
  • The next collection for refuse and recycling will be Tuesday 3 January and for garden waste Tuesday 10 January 2012.
  • Real Christmas trees can be put out for free collection for composting on your garden waste collection day throughout January. Remember to cut it up if more than 4ft tall and remove any decorations, including the pot.

Recycling Centre closures:

All Recycling Centres at Bath, Keynsham and Midsomer Norton will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
