Children have won a haul of talking books on CD in a competition run in local libraries.
As part of National Libraries Day – the campaign to get more people into libraries – the Council held a word hunt quiz around its libraries where children aged 5-11 had to find the letters that spelled out the word “library”.
Each entry was put into a prize draw. There were seven individual branch winners who each won a talking book on CD, supplied by AudioGo. Two overall winners both won six talking books each – Yasmin Taylor, aged nine, of Weston, and eight-year-old Daisy Browning, of Timsbury.
Residents are reminded that they can enjoy a wide range of entertainment at their local libraries throughout Bath and North East Somerset – including books, talking books, DVDs and Blu-Ray discs.
Also remember that Bath Central Library is open as normal whilst work is undertaken by Waitrose in The Podium.
