Older people in Peasedown are being invited to a Christmas party organised by the young people who attend the Council’s Peasedown Youth Hub.

The festivities take place from 4pm to 6.30pm on Saturday 17 December 2011. The local residents will be treated to a traditional three-course Christmas meal (including Christmas pudding) and entertainment – all prepared by the young people themselves.

Councillor Nathan Hartley (Lib-Dem, Peasedown), Deputy Leader of Council and Cabinet Member for Early Years, Children and Youth, said: “Bath & North East Somerset Council is proud to support the Peasedown Youth Hub Christmas party which is now into its third successful year.

“It proves to be a very popular event for the young people who feel a tremendous sense of achievement and belonging, and the older people who are welcomed in as guests and enjoy spending time together.”

The Christmas party is free but there are only 12 spaces left, so anyone interested in coming along to the event should call Bridie Marshall at Bath & North East Somerset Council’s Peasedown Youth Hub on 01761 432294.
