As the Bath Rugby Ladies settle into their new club as part of the long-established Bath RFC, they are now on the look out to ensure they can maintain a successful team well into the future.

We’re proud to sponsor Bath Rugby Ladies.

On Saturday 26th January 2013, Bath RFC will be holding a Girls’ Open Day at Lambridge Training Ground in Bath (BA1 6BD). The session will run from 11am – 2pm and is open to all girls aged 12 to 18 years old. Everyone is welcome, irrespective of experience – the hope is to give girls the chance to try something new, or to carry on with something they already enjoy!

Girls in Bath have always shown an interest in rugby and the Bath Rugby Ladies hope that this Open Day will be the start of a Junior Girls’ team in Bath, which will then bridge the gap between mixed junior rugby (which is only permitted until 13 years old) and the Ladies’ senior team. By enabling girls to continue playing rugby after 13, or to take up a new sport as a teenager, they hope to provide an enjoyable and fun experience in a friendly environment, catering for all levels of experience.

The Open Day will allow those new to the game to get a taster of what rugby is all about, and those who have played before will be able to further develop their skills. With the help of experienced coaches and the support of some of the Bath Rugby Ladies, it promises to be a fantastic day of rugby for everyone!  They advise you wear clothes you don’t mind getting muddy, and prepare for all weathers! Rugby or football boots would also be an advantage, but trainers will be fine. Lunch will be provided afterwards, so bring a change of clothes. Shower facilities will be available too. There will also be food available for parents during the session.

For more information, please call Sarah Burgess on 07816757644 or email [email protected] or get in touch via Facebook or Twitter @BathRugbyLadies

They hope to see you on Saturday 26th January! Bring along your sisters and friends!
