Modern ArtBuyer, the online art sales website based in Bath, and the Abbey Hotel, have announced their forthcoming exhibition, ‘Art in Fashion’, to coincide with the much-anticipated, annual Bath in Fashion event.

The exhibition will run throughout April at the Abbey Hotel, Bath.

As part of the Abbey Hotel’s focus on ensuring an elegant and exciting stay for its guests, the hotel has worked closely with Bath-based Modern ArtBuyer to present an exhibition of contemporary art with fashion at its heart.

Curated by Jessica Lloyd-Smith of Modern ArtBuyer, the exhibition includes hand-stitched fashion illustrations and wonderful collages inspired by the world of tailoring.

The exhibition will feature, amongst others, exceptional work by Peter Clark who ‘paints’ his fashion-centric collages with found papers, patterned by their printed and worn surfaces.

Also on show will be beautiful, hand-stitched illustrations by Emma Cowlam, who became passionate about illustration whilst at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, New York.

The exhibition will hang in the public areas of the hotel for guests and local visitors to browse, and all work will be for sale.
