Sugarcrafters and home cake decorators alike are looking forward to a new sugarcraft shop opening its doors in Bath in mid August.
Many have keenly watched the progress of Bath Cake Company’s new shop as they have been waiting at the traffic lights at the junctions of Lansdown Road, George Street and the Paragon.
Providing Bath with its first specialist sugarcraft shop has been a dream of Bath Cake Company owner, Celia Adams, who said: “When I first started doing sugarcraft, I found that I had to travel a long way to get what I needed. Like our customers, I wanted to shop locally and see what I was buying and avoid postage charges on internet purchases.”
The shop, with its friendly staff, will soon become a favourite for those with an interest in sugarcraft. It will also meet the growing demand from home bakers wishing to find beautiful decorations for their own cakes.
The shop will also have on display beautiful wedding cakes to inspire couples who are planning to tie the knot. Creating Bath’s first ‘Wedding Cake Exhibition’. Cake consultations will take place by appointment so that couples, whether they have clear ideas or need advice, will be able to discuss and taste the cake of their dreams that Bath Cake Company can then go on to create.
For those who want to eat their cake, without baking and decorating it themselves, there will be a selection of cakes, traybakes and cookies for sale. Country Cupcakes will provide the daily changing cupcake menu. Fans of award winning Country Cupcakes (previously on Walcot Street and in The Podium) can look forward to daily specials such as White Chocolate and Raspberry Cupcakes and Red Velvet Cupcakes, among others. Bespoke cupcakes and celebration cakes can be ordered at the shop and will be baked to order.
It is expected that there will be lots of interest from those looking for gifts for friends and family who have been bitten by the baking bug. There will be enticing gifts for cake bakers and cake lovers including books, cake stands and gift vouchers for both Country Cupcakes Decorating School and Bath Cake Company Classes.
