New national league tables released by company formation agent Duport show Bath is in the top ten UK towns for young directors and female directors.

It seems the business community of Bath is becoming more diverse. Figures released on Duport.co.uk show the city was amongst the top ten UK towns for female director appointments and young director appointments during 2012.

Bath was placed at number ten for female director appointments and number 6 for director appointments under 25 years old, suggesting increasing opportunities for younger entrepreneurs in the area.

The diversity of director appointments seems to be working well for the local economy, as according to further research from Duport.co.uk, last year also saw a record number of new company formations in Bath.

Managing Director of Duport.co.uk, Peter Valaitis commented: “Bath is a really exciting place to set up a new business. There’s a wealth of talent and high tourist footfall due to its many cultural assets. More young and female directors should help keep the local economy vibrant and full of fresh ideas, which will strengthen the city’s position still further in years to come.”

The Duport Business Confidence Report for Bath contains more statistics on local company formation, director appointments and company naming trends. More information can be found at http://www.duport.co.uk/bath.
