Avon and Somerset Police in Bath are asking for help to identify a man they want to talk to about a theft from Sally Lunn’s tea rooms in the city centre.
They believe the man on the CCTV image may be able to help them with their inquiries. They want anyone who recognises him, or the man himself, to contact them on 101.
On Tuesday 23rd October a man walked into the private staff room at Sally Lunn’s and left a minute later. Shortly afterwards two members of staff discovered property missing – one lost her purse and the other her Apple iPhone.
Minutes later a man used the first woman’s debit card to withdraw £250 from HSBC in SouthGate, and again used the card to buy goods worth nearly £150 from HMV nearby.
You can report any information you have to the police via 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org. They never ask for your name or trace your call.
