Avon and Somerset Police in Bath are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Milsom Street in which a student had his wallet stolen.
It happened at around 1.55am on Wednesday 30th January. A man pushed the 19-year-old into a shop doorway, took his wallet and then ran off towards George Street.
The student was not hurt.
The wallet, minus a small amount of cash, was found later that morning in a litter bin near the Assembly Rooms in Alfred Street.
Detectives say that a possible suspect was seen shortly before the offence begging in an aggressive manner to members of the public in Milsom Street.
