Avon and Somerset Police in Bath are appealing for witnesses after a 13-year-old boy had a cigarette stubbed out on the back of his neck by an older teenager in Royal Victoria Park.

He was with his brother and some other boys near the skatepark when the incident happened, on Saturday March 23rd at around 4.30pm.

He was left shocked and with a cigarette burn to his neck.

The offender, who was with another teenager, apparently laughed and walked off towards Windsor Bridge.

He is described as white, around 6ft tall, with short blond hair. He was wearing a black hoody top with red and white writing on the front.

Police say there were a number of people in the park at the time. Anyone who saw what happened, or has any information, is asked to call Bath police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org. They never ask for your name or trace your call.
