Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for information about an attempted robbbery on a 28-year-old man in Southdown on Tuesday 22nd November.
The victim was walking home along Mount Road, approaching the YMCA at around 8.45pm, when he sensed someone behind him. As he walked up an alley he was attacked from behind and hit on the head, knocking him to his knees. He was then hit multiple time with an object to the back and shoulders, while the attacker tried to go through his pockets.
Nothing was stolen and the attacker or attackers ran off. No description could be given of the offender/s. The victim was badly shocked and was taken to hospital for treatment, but was not badly hurt.
Anyone who saw the incident, or noticed the man walking in Mount Road and being followed, is asked to call Bath CID on 101.
