Avon and Somerset Police in Bath are appealing for information about an assault at Bath University that left a student with a broken jaw.

It happened at around 2.20am on Thursday November 24 near the entrance to The Tub bar on the campus, but has only just been reported to the police.

The 21-year-old victim had just left the club when he was attacked and punched by another man. He was taken to the Royal United Hospital for treatment.

Detectives say there were a large number of people in the area at the time of the assault. Anyone who saw the incident or who has any information is asked to call the police on the non-emergency number 101, or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
