A very pleasurable, light musical about adventures, travelling and show-business. Starting from London four bus mechanics are just about to begin the summer of a lifetime.
Having made a deal with a transport company, they take a double decker and decide upon their next destination in the journey around Europe.
Whilst being on the way to their well-deserved holiday, they meet three girls stuck in the middle of nowhere. And that’s how their bus starts to get more, and more, and even more passengers.
Presented by Zenith Youth Theatre Company, the film-based musical has much more to offer than words.
With a dose of great humour (made me laugh in almost every scene) the astonishing actors and singers take us to many different parts of our continent.
Accompanied by live music (yes, you heard right – there’s a small orchestra just by the stage!) they make the show just as magnificent as the original movie.
And naturally, they don’t forget about the main symbol of the show – that amazing red double decker bus.
This play has just really made my day.
