Local residents are being invited to Beacon Hall in Peasedown St John for the village’s sixth Christmas in the Park in December, organised by members of the award-winning Party in the Park festival team.
Christmas in the Park will feature live music and carols from the 20-piece Bath Spa Band, hot food and drink, a visit from Father Christmas, festive puppetry and a range of stalls and attractions.
Nathan Hartley is Chairman of the Event Team. He commented: “Our events each Christmas attract almost 300 people. They are always great days out for the whole family and, if people aren’t already, they are certain to leave feeling the festive spirit.
“We’re creating a magical feel to Christmas in the Park this year with Santa’s Grotto outside, Christmas music, mulled wine and we can even guarantee a bit of snow as well.”
The festivities are being sponsored by Tesco in Peasedown, and Party in the Park itself.
Niki de Silva, Community Champion for Tesco, said: “Tesco is always pleased to support family events like this. As a part of the Peasedown St John community we are keen to take part.
“We would like to wish all those attending Christmas in the Park an enjoyable afternoon.”
Christmas in the Park is a family event, for people of all ages, and will be held on Saturday 17th December, from 1pm – 4pm at Beacon Hall, Peasedown St John.
Visitors should note that this event is in the afternoon, as opposed to previous evening events.
This year’s festivities will be extra special with an inflatable grotto, giant-sized snowman and a range of Christmas stalls.
Karen Walker is booking the attractions for this year’s event. She said: “Teacups, tinsel and tasty mince pies – just some of what we have on offer at this year.
“After five successful events, we decided to take last year off for a long overdue rest. The festival team have been organising and hosting events in the community for almost 10 years now.
“Following a year out to plan and prepare, Christmas in the Park is back!”
There is space for more stallholders for those who would like to go along. Contact Karen for details: 07968 401447, [email protected].
Event-goers are asked to wrap up warm. The event will take place inside if wet.
The PA for the event will be provided by St John’s Church. For more details visit the festival website at www.peasedownpartyinthepark.org.uk.
