A group of freemasons from The Elizabethan Lodge based in Bath, have come together to help patients at the RUH who are being treated in the Cardiac Ward.
Five Masons went to the RUH to meet Dan Wagstaff, Cardiac Ward Manager and present a cheque of £863 to the Ward.
During his year as Worshipful Master, Michael Mallon chose to support the Cardiac Ward at the Hospital and through holding raffles and small events, he and his supporters raised a fantastic amount of money that will go a long way in transforming patient care on the Ward.
Dan Wagstaff, Cardiac Ward Manager commented: “Cardiac Ward would like to express their huge thanks to the Elizabethan Lodge for their generous donation.
“The money donated will directly help the cardiac ward with its long term plan to provide even better patient centered care through providing advanced training for the Cardiac team.”
Claudia Hickin, Community Fundraiser at The Forever Friends Appeal said: “It was lovely to meet with members of the Elizabethan Lodge, and especially to see their passion for the cause. Michael should be incredibly proud for what he has achieved, and I would like to thank them all for their hard work.”
The Forever Friends Appeal say they are incredibly grateful to the Elizabethan Masonic Lodge for their generosity and commitment in supporting the Cardiac Ward.
