The University of Bath has been ranked 11th out of 129 UK universities by the Complete University Guide 2018, published yesterday, though Bath Spa University has dropped significantly in the list.
The University of Bath maintains 11th position for a third consecutive year and holds its place as the top ranked university in the South West.
Bath has also performed well again in the subject tables, with 19 of its disciplines ranked in the top 10 in the UK.
Of these, 6 are in the top 3:

- Architecture
- Business & Management
- Marketing
- Psychology
- Sports Science
President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bath, Professor Dame Glynis Breakwell said: “I am delighted the University has maintained its overall position and continues to be recognised as the best university in the South West.
“As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, it is particularly pleasing to see so many of our subjects ranked in the top 10. Student satisfaction and the quality of our world-leading research are two of Bath’s real strengths and this latest ranking reflects our continued efforts in these areas.”

Across the city, Bath Spa University dropped from 76th place in the guide last year, to 90th this year, losing out to universities including De Montfort, Gloucestershire and Brighton.
