Avon and Somerset Police are renewing their appeal for information about a man who was found with a head injury in the centre of Bath on Tuesday 12th September.
The man became ill just after 8am on Tuesday and was taken to the Royal United Hospital by ambulance.
Officers were later made aware that medical staff believed the man had sustained a head injury. He has been transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he remains.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen him since Sunday afternoon, 10th September.
He is described as aged about 50, white and bald. He was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans and may have appeared drunk.
Officers have spoken to a number of witnesses who saw the man in the Riverside Gardens area at about 7.30am on Tuesday, and he is believed to have been in Avon Street earlier in the day.
The man’s friends have said that he may have been involved in an altercation near some benches in the Riverside coach park within the past few days. It’s understood a group of men were drinking there and became rowdy, smashing bottles.
Officers are keeping an open mind as to whether any offences have taken place.
