A number of fire crews have tackled a fire in a building on Charles Street in Bath this afternoon, with flames ripping through the roof of the property and black smoke being seen across the city.
The fire is believed to have broken out in a flat above the Bombay Lounge indian restaurant.
Six crews were sent to the scene, with appliances from Bath’s Fire Station, Corsham Fire Station and Trowbridge Fire Station attending.
First Bus said a number of their services were diverted due to the number of emergency vehicles on Charles Street, which was later closed to traffic.
