Residents living in a part of Albert Avenue in Peasedown St John have seen new concrete paths built between their parking bays and front doors.
Prone to flooding for many years, the grassed area needed urgent attention.
Cllr Sarah Bevan (Independent, Peasedown St John) contacted landowners Curo Housing asking for action to be taken. As a result, the organisation laid concrete paving to alleviate the problems.
Sarah said: “We’re very pleased that Curo has carried out this simple, but essential improvement – it not only makes a difference to residents on a daily basis, but looks good too.
“My thanks also go to local resident Katy Hilliard, who first brought this issue to my attention, and gave us the benefit of her expertise and experience along the way to achieve this result.”
