A group of Bath-based classical musicians are putting on a free concert in the centre of Bath this Saturday afternoon (6th February) to raise funds for refugee families that wash up on the shores of the Greek Islands.
Singer Evelyn Strasburger, said: “We wanted it to be free so that anyone with any curiosity about classical music could come and try it out, with no risk.”
“Children are welcome, we don’t mind dancing them dancing in the aisles, and you can take a break from shopping.
“If you like it, give something towards the poor families who have given up everything to leave the war zones of the middle east.”
The musicians are giving their services for free so all the money raised will go to the charity A Drop in the Ocean.
The free concert is at Manvers Street Baptist Church at 2pm to 3pm this Saturday afternoon, (6th February).
