Curo, the housing and support organisation based in Bath, has announced the appointment of Liz Potter as Non-Executive Director and Chair Designate.
Potter is an experienced Board Chair, Independent Governance Consultant and Executive Coach.
As Chair of Orbit up to 2013 she led the organisation through a period of considerable change and growth – setting up a commercial development subsidiary, steering through a successful merger, and achieving top quartile customer satisfaction.
She is currently a board member at Housing & Care 21 and Care & Repair England. Liz has a strong strategic understanding of the housing and care and support sectors, having worked as Director of Policy for the National Housing Federation and Regional Manager of Nacro Housing.
Liz will take office as Chair following Curo’s AGM in September.
She said: “Curo has so much potential, demonstrating innovation and commitment to current and future customers.
“I am excited to be joining Curo, and looking forward to working with colleagues to release the organisation’s further potential.”
Curo’s Chief Executive Victor Da Cunha, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Liz to the Curo board. Her undoubted skills and experience will strengthen our strategic ability to navigate what will continue to be a complex and fast-moving business environment.
“We’re looking to the future, and working to maximise the opportunities to grow and to build more affordable homes for local people.”
When Liz takes office, Dermot Courtier, currently Acting Chair, will revert to his post as a Non-Executive Director.
